In terms of sports the main attraction has to be football and Norwich City FC being the main professional club. They are nicknamed the canaries and at the time of writing play their football in the Championship. This is a famous club due to Delia Smith being a joint owner of the club. The home games are played at Carrow Road. This has very good access to the main roads and has a capacity of well over twenty seven thousand. It opened in 1935 and includes the Norwich and Peterborough stand, Thorpe Corner and also the Jarrold Stand.

The main rivals for the club is Ipswich Town and Norwich is deemed as a successful club over all as it has played top flight football for nearly two decades as well as winning the league cup and famously winning some bigger clubs such as Manchester United as well.

We must also mention the Norwich United Football as it the second club of the city and they play in the eastern counties league.
